Got a new axe today c",) - YEY!
I got the Brian Moore .9.7 today...
I couldn't help myself I had to take it...
I don't really like the colour (Transparent Purple) I don't mind it, but I would have chosen defferently if i could choose, but at the price i was gettin it, I had to...
I was gonna get this guitar eventually, in a different colour (Charcoal Gray), but there was a sale on, and this was the only one in Australia...I got 1000 (australian $) off the retail price...that was too good of an offer to pass up...
Specs:
Comfort contoured body
Unique scuplted headstock
Bolt-on neck construction
Kalantas Mahogany body and highly figure maple top
24 fret, 3 piece Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard
25.5" scale 15.8" radius
Seymour Duncan Pickups
with coil tapping
Black Hardware
Sperzel Locking Tuners
Vibrato
Innovative output jack location
It's soo nice to play...so easy...
It's really lite...
I'm pretty amazed by the pups in this guitar, I didn't expect em to b that good...I mean I think I still prefer my EMG 707, but they sound nice, a bit brighter almost, I haven't really tried em both together yet, but I won't b changin em any time soon. The coil tapping is alos kool, I had never tied a guitar with this before, I will definately b using it in the future. The "innovative output jack location" is also good, I guess not everyone will agree, but I like it, put's the jack totally out of ur way...
by the way..does anyone know which Seymour Duncan pups r in this guitar...I doesn't say anywhere...
Here r some pics for anyone who is interrested...(I didn't take these myself, i tried out some, but they turend out *sh*t
so I used some others instead, looks exactly the same...heh)

I was looking into a i8.13. The 6 string with the piezo and 13 pin MIDI connection, however, I have yet to play on. How is the neck on that 7?? Similiar to IBZ necks?

I would recommend anyone to get one of these beauties! I usually need a couple of days to get used to a new guitar, but this one just slid right in...hit the spot, defiantly my fav all time guitar (so far)
I will post some sound samples soon, i need to get my normal
string gauges
set on it first then I'll do sound samples so you can hear it compared to an EMG.
About the neck, I have an Ibanez AX 7221, i believe the AX has a bit thicker neck then the RG's. I did find the neck on the i9.7 *slimmer and nicer feeling then my AX, it is like the IBZ necks like it's thin, not anything like the epiphone necks or the Dean necks, *and the guitar is ALOT lighter then my Ibanez...
I will b getting the RG 7421xl around the end of june early july so that will b kool.
i highly recommend anyone to go out and try a
Brian Moore
, they rock!

Yea I'd say so Sevenstringer...I want ur Cazares custom, now that is a nice axe!!! c",)
I got a sound sample now...
Not recorded too well. The guitars r just straight form my POD to a portable MD. Sounds alright.
Seymour Duncan JB VS EMG 707
The first is the Brian Moore i9.7 with the
Seymour Duncan
JB, and the last is my Ibanez AX7221 with the EMG 707.
Can't tell too much of a difference...a little bit...but not alot.
Sorry about the JD thing...donno what I was thinkin of heh...
and yea the drums r a bit loud..sorry about that too, u can still hear it tho...

Difference seems to me that the EMG has that low-end thing pretty much nailed for clarity and punchiness, when it kicks in after the SD it just sounds sick, like the guitar is tuned lower...JB seems to me to have a rounder sound, less bottom end. I like both dammit!!!!
