That's why I said RG7CT, exact same joint, exact same guitar, also built in the JC shop [even though it's badged Prestige]. It is a scarf joint, the volute gives it that hourglass look which is sorta wierd first time you notice it

Details details, but valid points. Considering I really dislike those features, I'd stick with a CT

ok, that's one of the most attractive 8527's i've ever seen. you got completely hooked up with that flame- it's almost boardering on a quilt, and the back is unreal. niiiice.

Now I only miss an RG2027XVV or a 2127XBK, then I can die like a happy man

Not quite, the RG8520 is close but the "real" equivalent is the JCRG-3VV. I have two of them right now (and an RG8527-DBK). The features are identical other than the RG8527 has 7 strings and cosmo chrome hardware instead of black.

Here are some pics of one of the JCRG-3VV's and the RG8527DBK, in case anyone is interested in what either one of these guitars looks like (they may take awhile to load they are pretty large pics):

>Viper: That guitar is absolutely brilliant!

I would love a RG7CT or one of them RG8527 to side my RG2027, but then again:

Beautiful. Both the materials and craftsmanship look stunning. It actually looks much better in your photos than theirs.
