Great news for lefties everywhere (huge pics)

Would describe, but pics speak louder the words...

I'll keep the 6 string ones as URLs otherwise it'd be overkill.

Same available options as the normal right handed ones, i.e. matching headstock and piezeo pickup. Roll on 2009! Dunno about the price but I'd imagine it'll be a little bit more than the righty ones.

I already plan on getting one, they are going to be about $1500 for the 6, $2100 for the 7 and tack on $1000 for the Family Reserves.

Re: Great news for lefties everywhere (huge pics)

Gah, I looked for other threads as well. I'll probably give the FR's a miss (I wasn't impressed with the tops when I saw them at the London Guitar Show) but.. well, a 6 AND a 7 would be being greedy...right?

....

OK I want both. Matching headstock's different paint jobs and piezo pickup. Now to get saving!

Re: Great news for lefties everywhere (huge pics)

Piezo is a pickup inside the bridge that makes it sound just like an acoustic, BFR is Ball Family Reserve, basically I guess it just gets some added attention during crafting and such, and it comes with a little plaque signed by Ball and JP, not worth the extra $1000 if you ask me, plus you cant get them in Mystic Dream so screw that. and the inlays are not worth the extra $300 or so.

Re: Great news for lefties everywhere (huge pics)

Koa is a fantastic tone wood.

Koa (Acacia koa) from Hawaii. Golden brown color with dark streaks and a lustrous sheen. Koa wood occasionally develops a curly or flamed figure. Regardless of any figuring, koa seems to have a bass response that is slightly less than that of rosewood and treble response that is slightly less than that of mahogany. The result is a very equally balanced instrument.
