serial starts with a W.. is there any korean made 7620 out

Thats strange. I thought they were all made in Japan but that has the lo-pro and triangular pup tabs. Mine are both Japanese but they are '98 and '99. What year is yours?

Oh also, from the picture it looks like there is rectangular discoloration around the serial number. While it seems odd, do you think for some reason it may not be the original number?

The neck is a replacement from Warmoth. The existing hardware is from a regular rg7620.
