How Much Is an RG7-CST Actually Worth?

Well, the topic says it all I guess

Also, what are the differences between a 2027X and a CST? DiMarzio pickups and different wiring and a slightly thicker neck (Universe neck)?

Thanks in advance, guys.

go to the Jemsite 7-string summary for specs...

I think the main differences are:
Neck, freboard, pickups, top... ummm, price!

They usually are around $2k if they're mint, I'd expect a fancy pants case for that... and shipping. *I've seen a couple go for right around $1600.

In Dr. Evil voice
"One hundred beeelion dollars!!!"

The 2027 comes close, but a few things are different:
- Ebony fretboard
- AAA flame maple top
- DiMarzio p/u's
- Universe neck
- J-Custom logo on the headstock
- Inlays (or lack there of)

Wanna see a really cool 2027? *Check out Dave Weiner's L.A. Custom Shop 2027. *Wow-nice ride.

Realistic price for a CST? *Try to pay less than $2K. *I don't know the original MSRP on these. *Oh, and since the CST is a J-Custom model, try to get a J-Custom case with it. *I'm 0-for-4 in that department.

Ok. Thanks a lot. Hm... $2K... A 2027 lists for that (brand new) here where I live (Sweden) though I probably could get a deal with my friend in the music shop here...say $1600 :\

The reason I asked is that I found a CST in Germany for about $1700...hmmm...

Yes that one, i think pb2 vv (PowerBridge (because of the piezo) 2 (??? Maybe because it's 7 string?) VV (Vintage Violin) is the same as RG7-CST. Same guitar, 2 names.

I bought the guitar in Holland, but the shop where i got *it had bought the guitar in Germany. I don't know how many were in Germany, but if there was only one (i read some stories about this guitar was offered in Germany), then this is the one from Germany.
