It is a UV but it's the UVBK (silver dot version)with a custom pickguard.
You can tell it's early FF because Dino hasn't got an EMG on the guitar, lol.

I was at that gig too! It was awesome. I was just getting into FF at the time.

I also caught Korn's first UK gig on that day on one of the small stages and they were loud and heavy as fu*k.

It was a good day

That Cooley Ibanez 8 is one of the hottest looking of the 8's they've made recently.
Gorgeous!

That'd mean there'd be even fewer cases in which it'd fit. It would look mean with 8 inline though. As the black machine 8s do (anyone noticed the new fan fret model?)

Re: Ibanez 8 string???

Kinda gets me thinking - wouldn't it be a viable choice to bring out a fanned fret 8-string? The 8-string "mass market" appeal, so far, is rather limited. Out of all the people that seem to be interested in one, and it's not really like they overlap into the "hmmm six or sevenstring"-market.
People who want an eight KNOW they want an eight, and as far as playability goes, I'm rather confident that a fanned fret instrument generally is more playable than an extended range 8-string, even if it may take some adjustments. Baritone scale isn't for everyone (I know it's not for me!), so while it's an innovation, I definately think it's a viable option to have the first production eight go out as a fanned fret design.
