Ibanez Apex 2

Hello,
I am new to this site. I would really like to buy a 7 string guitar and i found a Ibanez Apex 2 with seymour duncan Blackouts 7. The guitar is almost 3 years old and in almost perfect condition for 450 usd. Is it worth it? Will I have any problems with those active pickups?

And 1 last question, is it difficult to learn how to play on a 7 string guitar?

Blackouts are great! I hate actives but I love those. They're a bit bassy but not terrible. It's a really great guitar overall.

And playing a 7 string is a breeze! I went from my first guitar to a 7 and had no issues. After a week, you'll be used to it!

So its worth the money? also what strings should I use on 7 strings? On 6 strings I use 10-52.

Yes! Definitely worth the money. Worth MORE in fact.

And what do you tube your 6 to with those strings? And what will you tune the 7 to?

I tune my 6 strings in standard or in drop d

So for your 7, you'll be tuning to B-Standard or Drop A? I'd get your normal 10-52 pack and get a. 66 for the low B.

I used a 66 low B for ages and had terrible trouble with it - The tension was fine (Which is why people recommend them), but the fact there's so much extra magnetic meterial there makes the sound of the guitar intensely muddy.

I've since switched to a 56/58.
