First of all I again take my hat off and bow to Rich Harris! Rich again came through in flying colors. As always Rich delivers an incredible instrument to my door. The extra time he spends on set up and attention to detail makes a huge difference.
I recently purchased an Ibanez 1527CB from Rich. Never owned an RG in my life, I've had many customs guitar and many JEMS and UV'S. I wasn't sure what to expect. The 1527 is awesome! However, Cosmic blue? Not really blue,, more purple to orchid. Amazing none the less. It looks black most of the time but in the light it's dark purple, certain angles it's sort of an Indigo. I love it!
Even the stock pickups sound good,, not fabulous or great but good none the less. I will be changing pickups to
Tone zone 7 and
air Norton 7,, but the urgency isn't as big of a deal as I had originally thought.
I've been looking at 1527's and 7620's for months now,,, ebay has them and on somedays they are everywhere. However I would get close to one, almost buy it,, and then the price was almost like buying new or something would make me go "nah". I almost bought a 1527CB with out a case on ebay,, and then after doing some numbers I would be about 200 bucks away from having a new one with case from Rich. I spoke to Rich on a few occasions explaining what I was trying to do, and he told me that I could find a good one on ebay,,, Kudo's,,,, not many folks would say hey look for something used somewhere else. I was trying to get the biggest bang for the buck. Then it hit me,, I would much rather give 820 bucks to Rich then get a bargain used 7 string on ebay. So making this purchase caused me not to get the legacy cabinet I wanted,,, but in all honesty I'm glad I went this way. I have a quality guitar that sounds awesome.
Again, I just wanted to share my "Great experience" with everyone and again Thank Rich publicly for everything he has done for me over the years!
