I'm getting my first 7 string!!! Ibanez RG7321

Well I paid for it about 8 hours ago and I will be getting it on Thursday. Completely black RG7321 with a PAF 7 in the bridge for $300 Canadian. Gonna get a D Sonic 7 and put that in the bridge and move the PAF to the neck, then put in an extra tone and maybe an extra volume nob while making both tone pots push/pull so then I can get every sound I need out of it. Mmmmmmmmm. Coil split PAF in the bridge for thumbing jazz. Drool. From that to DEATH METAL! MWAHAHAHA. Maybe I've had too many root beer floats eh? Yeah, that old Canadian eh. Does anyone find that to be a good neck and bridge combo? I never realized the outputs between them were so great. The reason I'm going with the D Sonic 7 is because I'm going to be tuned to A and I don't want too much bass. Also, it has a good amount of mids to help cut through and that's what I need in a bridge PU. This is also my first experience with REAL after market pickups (besides that **** people call EMG's. Not for me. No sir). This makes me happies believe it or not, all this was typed within 5 mins while watching the end of Last Action Hero. Well time to be sleeping. Gotta wake up at 10 and it's almost 4.

OH! And the amp I'm getting in a little while is a Bugera (distributed by Behringer but not made by them so remember that) 6262 because of how amazingly awesome it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhN6iLMtm74 . Let that form your opinions. Better cleans than I've ever heard from a Peavey (which it seem it is based off of) and for the first time. Woooooooooo. Ok. Time for bed and then to wake up and see the responses to my retardation. Total time spent typing, 8 mins.

Well I finally got it and I gotta say I love it. The PAF 7 even somehow made my modeler sound better. I'm probably just going to get another PAF 7 for the neck and leave the other one where it is.

I'm temped to try to find a K7 body (the string through one) since they take the same neck, remove all the hardware (except the pots) and sand it down right to the bare mahogany and just have a nice stain or clear coat.

No you don't They look cool, but are completely different than guitars. They are not intuitive in the slightest.

But congrats on the 7! I see it has a K7 PAF7 in it, which is cool

I love them because they are so different and it would be neat to play without strumming. I'm still thinking of replacing the bridge pickup and moving the PAF to the neck.
