Is this a nevborn?

When I first saw this, I thought that it was just the 8-string Nevborn guitar. After a closer look, I concluded that it's a 7-string. Is this a Nevborn too? Does anyone know the story/specs of this guitar?

That is the 8 string version of the same guitar I believe. Someone correct me if I am mistaken.

Yes, that is a Nevborn 7 from what I have learnt about Messhuggah gear in the past. But someone like Shannon will be able to confirm it for you.

thanx guys. I checked an earlier post and found a pic of this guitar. It featured the nevborn logo. So I guess that's the 7-string version.
BTW does anyone know what does 33 stand for (I know I may seem stupid for asking this, but...)?

i think Fredrik Thordendal just likes the number 33 really... for instance he has 33 on the 12th fret of his guitars (on his 7s he does not sure about his 8s) plus there is an updated version of his solo album 'sol niger within' called 'sol niger within ver. 3.33' and theres their latest album 'Catch 33' so yeah, i think he just likes the number for some reason...

So, no specific meaning...All these references to this number made think that there was something special behind it.

there may well be a meaning, just not one im aware of...

but i do know that 'Catch 33' is a reference to the book 'Catch 22', apparently because the album revolves arround different paradoxes like 'Catch 22' that said ive never read the book and was told this... so id take it with a grain of salt

33 is also the name of a special guitar effect Fredrik uses. It's made by Johan Haake, the brother of the drummer in meshuggah. There has been a few of these on the market...but not that many. I donno if this has anything to do with him having the number 33...he prolly named it 33 himself. If you want to know more about it you can find info about it here:

Yeah I've seen this breath controler! Johan must be really cool, for explaining how to make one!
Could it be that Fredrik loves 33 because of Scottie Pippen (ex-Bulls basketball player). He's got 33 on his jersey too! LOL!!!
