talk to Koichi at Ishibashi music in Japan. They ship internationally. I got my RG8527 from them. Very easy to work with.

oh really? Does the guy speak English? I like the J-Customs so much better than US stuff, that would be awesome if I could get one. So how would you go about talking to him, and how much did it cost to buy it and ship it? Come one, we're dying to know!!!!

Well, IMHO, we here in the US are getting totally ripped off. I mean take a look around the Jap Ibanez site and the stuff, even in the mediocre RG range, beats the crap outta the stuff we have here. But specifically, the 1527 is a good 7-string, they have it over there too but it's in Galaxy black rather than Cosmo Blue. Still the same sparkles, just different color. But what we're talking about here is the J-Custom series. These are basically the pinnacle of Ibanez quality. I mean, ok, the 1527 has a basswood body, 3 piece neck, rosewood board, and V-7's and 8's. It's a nice guitar. Check this out though, the J-Custom RG8527 has a flame maple and mahogany body, same neck but the board is bound, and it has DiMarzio RG-7's. I would pay the extra amount just to have the mahogany, but it has a flame maple top and the fingerboard is bound too, and the pickups are DiMarzio made. Well, ok, maybe I can figure out how to put it's pic on here:

if you still can't see it, here's the URL to it:
http://www.ibanez.co.jp/japan/guitar.../rg8527vv.html
it kicks the 1527's butt. I so want one!
