JPM 7 Black White Picasso

Well so I'm never going to afford the one on ebay, hell the closest I'll ever get to it is by looking at my DT videos, the new JP guitar book and the Once in a livetime linear!
But I'm contemplating an idea to get me a custom jpm 7 lookalike...whether that's possible or not, it's still a good idea...utopian as it may seem. Well anyways I'm thinking of getting an RG2027, put in the extra side dot inlays. And new pickups, but how much do you guys think the finish would run me?

Yes including the coloured paper and all

Thanks guys!

Chris.

If you can do the work yourself then the cost would be under 1200 plus the cost of the guitar.
I would expect to pay double that for a custom job by a outside source.
Lots of work to do by yourself though

buzz
ps if it was me id just keep the 2027 its already a kick butt guitar

You could start out with an RG7620--since it has a basswood body, it's more like a real JPM. You could probably pick up a used 7620 for $500-600, have the image put on the front, switch the pickups, and have a little work done to the neck (binding?).

Based on my understanding of the 2027, you'll probably be looking for new pickups there. The 7620 might end up being a lot cheaper to modify.

My $.02.

The purple/grey/maroon is the only one I care that comes up

That auction was so F*ucked up!! It went so high cause some DWEEB Newbie enters a $680,000 bid (NO Dweeb, you don't enter cents without the decimal point!!) so the underbidder at that time tries to break it, GOOD LUCK!! Get's over $10K where Steve tempts it for 1 bid, so when the DWEEB retracts the bid is frozen over $10k, then Toru has to think BIG numbers and Steve has to snipe protect BIG also. eBay, gotta love it!!!

Simple, follow the bid history!! LOL

http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAP...p;ed=980280537

Steve is skerns and Toru is jem776. The other guy, jollygood, is some English bloak that ran it up trying to beat the DWEEB's proxy. It was up to $10,800 when the DWEEB retracted so it only went back to 10,6.

For 13k that guitar better do laundry too.
Anyone wanna bet it goes back up for auction because of "deadbeat" bidders?

I say best of luck to them. If they are prepared to pay that much for their favourite guitar from their hero's collection then I hope they have a great deal of fun with it - whether they play it or put it in a glass case.

Personally - I couldn't warrant payiong that much for a guitar no matter whose it was or what I was gonna do with it - with the exception of selling it on for a profit. I hope that these guys wouldn't be doing that?
