$140, it can't be great. Funny how the description says 21 frets when there are clearly 22.

Hard to say...may not be too bad. Looks OK, kinda remionds me of an EBMM. Nice hardware, although the Grovers look like they were installed crooked.

I wonder if it is a Jewl in hiding, or POS. Either way, a 7 string for 160 shipped isnt that bad I guess.

Hope I can throw some Piezo's on it and just play it...

Does anyone know if I can buy a Piezo kit for this thing?

Would it be a bolt in or a entire bridge swap?

Hey, an alder bodied 7-string... As far as I'm concerned, it's the perfect wood for it. Expect a super-tight lower register.

Workmanship quality, I have no clue... so give us a review

I think the list price for that samick is somewhere around $500, so you might have gotten a good deal...

It will be here today according to the UPS tracking.

You can get this guitar here.

I will post some impressions and maybe some soundclips this weekend when I give it a workout!

Give us the lowdown once you play it -- I saw the weight "30lbs." at the top of the page and nearly fell out of my chair! Then I saw at the bottome that that is only the listed oversize shipping weight and it's actually only like 9.5lbs. Can you imagine trying to lug a 30lb. guitar around for more than a few songs?

lol

my 76 Les Paul felt 30 lbs after a song or 2...

Yeah, it was gone after a few month (It never did sound that great plugged in to a Marshal IMO anyways.)

Looking forward to reading your impressions of it. It's not a bad looking guitar... i only wish they'd put the output jack in the exact same spot on the back of the body instead of the face.
