Well I saw some photos of a "real" one on ebay and I must say I'm really impressed!!! It's got a 5 piece neck with Bubinga stripes that go all the way through the headstock too , Perloid binding on the fingerboard and a Mahogany body!!!

Now I just wish they made a K6

The K7 is a sweet guitar. *I would buy one if it wasn't for the huge inlay.

I found some more K7 pics on the east coast music mall site, both colours are listed.

I would so have to go witht he Blade Grey. That color with the matching headstock rocks. Did you notice they even had the regular trem bar in.

The K7 does indeed have an angled jack.

I've always wondered why something like a 5 piece neck is considered as a preference?

I presume the 5 piece in this case is 2 laminates of maple and 2 laminates of bubinga with the headstock spliced on.
Personally give me a 3 piece neck anyday ( 2 maple and 1 bubinga/whatever hard/dense wood you care ) with the headstock cut into the same laminate and not spliced on.
Or am I on the wrong track?

Cheers
Steve

Yeah, it's really too bad about that inlay... it's a really nice guitar, otherwise.

No scarf joints on these or any other 3 and 5 piece Ibanez necks (with the 3 and 5 piece head)
