K7........whats going on!!?!?!
Recently i have heard rumours about the K7 being discontinued and that they arnt putting th new style trems on because they going to leave the leftover guitars to sell and then not make any more......but what REALLY is going on wiv it?!?! Im a big Korn fan and i bought a 7-string (RG7420) just becuase of them. They made the 7-string what it is today (as well as
steve Vai
etc obviously) but i recon that the K7 should keep going but mabye change the inlay so that its a small K7 at the 24th fret or something. I agree that the K7 has a dodgy inlay but if they changed it, it would probably be a very usable guitar.

it's on the 2003 USA dealer list and is available. They are using the old trems because it would be foolish business to make a new "edgePro" mold for a trem used in ONE guitar. Plus there is plenty of inventory of parts. The K7 should be available at least for the next 9-12 months... maybe much longer if sales pickup and/or there is a glut of inventory somewhere... glen

either they reduce the price and keep that ****ty k7 thing
either they keep the price but that time really make it look like a korn axe. the guys have been playing on some nice axes and it amazes they could have such a crap as a sig model. it looks damn naked...

holy crap your right!!! lets see some of those axes that munky has been flashing around, like the black one with the white binding and white pickups, or the white one with silver binding silver pickups and trem.... i think id let go of 1300 bucks a bit more easily if any of those came out.

i agree that they should make the guitars look like a korn guitar.
They've been using some REALLY nice customs since 'Follow The Leader'
My fravorite is prob the Black w/ white binding around body neck and headstock but with no scrathplate. They all look very classy and more like a Korn guitar then the K7 which just looks like a RG7620GN with a big K7 logo, changed wood and some different PUs.
They dont use the guitar alot either which doesnt really help.
Ive never actually seen Munky play live with a K7, ive only ever seen him in magazines with a K7 and by the looks of it, they K7 he uses for magazines is a custom painted one which is painted Pure Black rather than Firespark Blue.

Hey Guys,
I must say that I would like to see the K7 going. I've owned one in the past and had to sell it because I needed the money. I thought it was an awesome guitar, but I would've changed the pickups to EMG707's or
Tone Zone
7's.
If Ibanez really wanted to put a signature out there for all you Korn fans out there, maybe they should have them built in Korea to help keep costs down and make the guitar more affordable. I think that the Korea plant is putting out some nice products. Take a look at the Mushok model. Looks like a quality piece to me.

i wouldnt mind to pay $1300 or $1600 (here in france) for a k7 as long as it looks killer, and of course sounds as good the present one.
lemme find some pictures to show you what i'd throw money in!
edit- (+some added)
here you go!

Do (Does) Korn even play their own signature series?
Vai does
Gilbert does
Metheny does
Satch does
Benson does
What about Munky and Hed?

i think Head tends to use the K7 mostly, whereas Munky seems to switch between ibanez
custom models
.....its kinda pointless. it shouldnt be the korn signature model, it should just be Heads signature model seeing Munky barely uses it...maybe the hidious K7 inlay puts him off too

I think they should take the Korn K7 off and make a Korean one. Not the K7 but the Munky custom. That munky custom in the pictures is actually a Very Dark Firespark Blue mixed with Black and the White Binding goes around the Body, Neck and headstock. I think that the actually paint is Black and Like a JS10th ( I think) When u turn it around it goes in to a dark blue. They should make individual Korean Signautures. Head having the Grey Burst or mabye the Mahogany plain Body and Thru-Neck guitar he uses alot, and Munky DEFINATLY having the UV (without scratchplate) style guitar. The nearest you will get to seeing one of theses without it becoming a signature is Dino Cazeres' Customs and even then, their quite hard to find. Korean is a good idea because it would make the guitar cheaper (but still quality) so more people would buy them and if it was the Munky UV style i think the amount of people buying them would rise alot.
