Cool

Left Handed 7s Campaign

Hi, the following isn't a fully thought out idea yet, so if it sounds stupid please don't be too hard on me, I'm just looking for some discussion and opinions.

What it boils down to is that there doesn't appear to be a single lefty Seven in regular production by Ibanez, I've heard of a couple of guitars popping up, but thats it.

What do people think about an attempt to lobby them for one lefty 7, if so it seems to make more sense to go after only one model and focus efforts on that....

My suggestion would be try to gather as many notes of interest about a RG7321 lefty as possible.

Reasons for picking the rg7321 are that it's a nice and simple guitar, reasonably priced (even in the uk!) and would make a great starting point for conversions and custom jobs.

What do you think?

*prepares to be told he's wasting his time*

Re: Left Handed 7s Campaign

I think it would be awesome....if they'd acturally listen. Unfortuanately, even if you got hundreds of people to boycott Ibanez, they still probably wouldnt reissue a left handed ibanez 7 string. Its hard enough to get a few 6 string lefties from Ibanez. Im in the process of having a custom 7 built, but if by some off chance ibanez came out with a 7 string lefty while I was still working on it, id still be first in line to get one.

I'm not talking about boycotting Ibanez (how can we not buy things if they don't make them!).

I just think it'd be worth having a go at gathering info on some people interested in them and sending them to Ibanez.

I'd love one a just to turn into a UV7BK by replacing the bridge with a Lo-Pro Edge and getting some green pickups and inlays, I know some people think it's a 'urgh' guitar, but I really dig it.

Oh my god the UV7BK is sooo good. Thats kinda what I'm talking about. A building block guitar... though it might not be the best idea to sell it to ibanez like that...
