Left handed Rg 7420 Price?

Can anyone tell me what the List/Retail price was on one of these guitars? Because a Music store i know is selling their store model with plastic still on, but with two chips for 899.00 Canadian. This seems a little high for a discontinued guitar with damage done to it, even if it is left handed. I emailed them and they said they wont lower the price on it. So yeah, if its a good deal compared to what it was new then il probably get it, but i dont know what the price was new so can anyone help me out? thanks.

I'd tell 'em they can keep it . I'm not sure on exactly how much it's worth , but I'm almost positive it's not worth $899 . Seems like they're jacking the price due to it being a lefty , 'cause there aren't a boat-load of lefty Ibanez 7s' . I've never even seen one in a store .

Well 1) they claim it to be a 7421L, which obviously its not. 2) the list price in America for a 7420 was 899 I believe, so they might be going by that. Im tryin to figure out if it would be cheaper to get this, or a custom made one.....or a second hand one if by some fluke chance I found one.

I'd recommend an extensive search , just to see what's out there . If the guitar is worth it to you (or the trouble) , then I'm sure you can find some info out there that'll help you knock that price down a bit . You know the reality is that they are a retailer . Reatailers sell things . Your job is to let them know they WON'T sell it for that price . Another thing (I'm sure you know all too well) is that lefty players aren't exactly crawling out of the woodwork commanding a high number of lefty guitars , let alone lefty 7s' . I wish you luck brother , whatever you decide to do .

Thanks. Im waiting to get a reply back from them and am going to see if its at all possible for the price to be lowered. I do believe that 899 is unreasonable for this guitar due to the fact that it is damaged, and was around that price to begin with, and as far as I can gather, it does not come with any papers, case, anything a new guitar would come with, so I would not consider it to be worth its new price (again, I dont know what price that was, but am assuming it to be around what they are selling it for.) They put this guitar on the bay and it only reached 610 canadian when the bidding ended.(I bid 600) They set the reserve at 899 so it was obviously not sold. I hope they come around though, it would be a nice buy for me I'd think.

I wish it wasnt this hard though. I mean, if I can find a 6 string bass easily enough, I sure as hell should be able to get a left handed 7 string just as easily

Like I said before , I have NEVER seen a lefty Ibanez 7 in person , but I can find 6 string basses all day long ! Hopefully luck will be on your side , and you're right , it shouldn't be that hard . Good luck .

Well, i havent heard back from them, and I decided to go Custom. I already have the body on the way and the trem. Just need the neck and electronics and stuff like that.
