locking nut screws

does anyone use a longer screw for the low B/E lock? and if you do where did you get teh screw, a hardware store or music store.

im asking caue my low B/E lock is having trouble locking due to the thickness of the B strign which isnt eve very thick. only 53. thanks !

A standard locking-nut screw should cope with just about any gauge string (within reason).
Certainly shouldn't have any problems with a .53 gauge.

Is it the same length as the other screws on that nut?
