Look What i just Won!


hey all,

this is my first post and first time on jemsite.
I have been looking for a seven string to uprade to from my schecter damien 7. I bought a RG7620(used of course cause it's discontinued.)

Welcome and congrats! My first 7-string was an RG 7620 BK that I acquired brand new back in 1998 and I still have it to this day. Of course I totally refinished it four years ago and it now looks like this- http://www.shawncastonguay.com/rg7620.html

Actually, I reaslly like the new7 in the neck, very cool for leads. The bridge pickup has to be replaced though!

Bridge pickup is really muddy, so I'd definately replace that. It's not that it's really ****, just that it's wooly and you wouldn't be able to get a tight sound out of it (at least not easily). The neck pup I'd give a chance, as i was really suprised by how cool the sound was from the one i played. In fact it's actually the closest i've come to finding the lead tone i really like neck pickup wise!

yeah thanks i had no idea it was muddy. I heard a good bridge pup is a dimarzio blaze custom? is it any good?
