Nice...Very nice!
You should check out the really figured birds eye maple finger boards found on Ernie Balls!

Maple Lovers - Check It Out
I own an
EBMM Axis
that has better than a birdseye neck - it's totally flamed out! *I've yet to see an Axis as schweet as mine...
I'll try to get some good pics of it and post them here but Gresh can vouch for it's beauty as he's seen it.

Maple Lovers - Check It Out
The Carvin plays like a dream after I had a high 15th fret levelled - medium jumbos on it just like the EBMM Axis guitars. *My Axis plays insane also. *
Here's some links to pictures of the Axis - doesn't do it justice of course or even show off the flame much...

My ideal UV would be something like this..
Quilted Maple
over mahogany body
Birdseye maple board with no inlays (well... OK disappearing pyramids would work also).
Clear pickguard.
Double Edge bridge
.
:donnie: * * Now that would kick ace...

Randy's EB Axix is
AMAZING
, I have never seen a neck like it at any price, at least on a mass production instrument. *For those of you who dig insane inlays and figured wood, go to
www.conklinguitars.com
*who are located not too far from Randy and me here in the middle of nowhere. *The birdseye in Randy's Carvin is much prettier in person, trust me.

Maple Lovers - Check It Out
Yeah, the DW7 is Dave Weiner's signature model....there are pics on his website
www.daveweiner.com
It is under gear. *Very sweet candy apple green to blueburst finish on essentially an RG7/UV body. *AN7 and TZ7 pickups last time I talked to him, LPE of course, NICE maple board.
Check it out....easily one of the cooler custom shops I have seen.....beats the hell out of
Dino Cazares
'
custom shop
Universe....blechhhhh
