Might be selling the 1077xl...
Hey, everyone. Even though I just got my 1077 not too long ago, I'm thinking about selling it. With the band taking off, I need a larger base of funds, and the 1077 is not a gigging axe. One of the bigger complaints I have are the pick-up tones. There isn't a huge (note distinctive bridge pick-up sound and 1 and 5 position volume increases) amount of different between the 5 positions, whereas you have noticeable changes in tones in the likes of a Schecter Blackjack. So, if the need ever came back up for another 7 I could fall back on one of those for a cheaper price.
The 1077xl is in excellent condition. I think the only defects are some finger prints and pick blemishes on the finish when light hits it properly. What do you think a good, legitimate asking price would be if I decided to sell it?

If you have the UV case for it, you could easily get around 1K easy. If i were you, I wouldnt put out a price. Instead i would say your giving a week to take the best offers. You'd be surprised how badly people around here want that guitar.

If I hadn't just bought a UV777BK, I would buy it.

Well, what did you expect? The stock pickups are horrible. Thought about changing them?

Agreed, stock pickups on that thing are awful. I recommend getting some Duncans. If you really want to, you could make sure you'll never get it sold ever again by mounting EMGs in it.

Now's a good time; there's a healthy market for nice RG1077XLs.
Or at least there was before all these guys bought Universes.

Haha yeah.
You get to the point where you want to buy one, give up, buy a Universe, then find one on the market.
Therefore they're actually quite hard to sell

Re: Might be selling the 1077xl...
If you are really wanting to sell your Ibanez RG1077XLRB please e-mail me at
sandcsmithbunch@aol.com
. I am really looking for this guitar and I will pay top and more than the usual $850 people ask. I really mean top dollar! Please e-mail me. Does it have the UV1000C case? Let me know. Thanks.

Re: Might be selling the 1077xl...
One other thing. You asked what a good price to sell it would be? I have seen the Ibanez RG1077XLRB go for $850 and higher. Like I stated in my above listing, I will pay you top dollar. Just e-mail me at
sandcsmithbunch@aol.com
, and we can discus the whole transaction. There is no doubt about it, I WILL BUY THE GUITAR if you are selling it. Just e-mail me to talk about price. Thanks!
