Moding rg7..help

Hallo..
I am thinking of buying rg1527 or rg7620 and mod it..
I would like to do this..
Add a pickguard..
Add a grip hole on the body, but not the typical one, but like the angled one on a jem7pbk..i just love its positioning.. maybe this would cause a refinishing..?
Customize the inlay dots (nothing fancy..but something like adding a 4 small leaves in symetrical form arround dot markers, to make it look like some sort of flower..)
Maybe binding the neck..
Eventyally changeing the PUs in white..(then the switch would be replaced with white also.)
Thats about it..
But..
What do you think..how expensive and complicated this would be?
I am partculary afraid on inlay job..do you think it would be complicated to achieve something similar to what i described..?
Also, will adding the grip hole would be te problem..would there be enough space, after adding the pickguard..(i know that jem7pbk also has pickguard, but when looking the UV, space above pickguard looks somehow small to me for adding a grip..)
I am NOT PLANNING TO DO IT myself..
Thats why i am interested in complexity of these mods, cause, the more complicated, the more pricey it will be for me..and i don't have much money at all..!
The most important, i am from Serbia..so, the complicated works are more then expensive, if available to do at all..
Thank you guys!
Petar

Re: Moding rg7..help

replacing the pickups with white ones is easy enough(although i would be more concerned with the type of pickup rather than just the colour)

and adding a pickgaurd is not too much trouble

any guitar shop will have a white pup selector cap it will cost less than $3

but as for the gorilla grip and inlay work that could be quite expensive.

and yes you will need to refinish atleast around the grip cause the wood is only painted on the surface,
so unless you want the grip to be bare you will need to refinish

Thanx for the rep..
Yeah.. i am aware, like you listed, that some of the mods i have listed are quite easy..
Considering the grip, yeah..i know that it should be refinished where sculpted, but would it need complete body refinishing, or it could be cut not to endanger the rest?
Also, considering inlay..i am thinking about something just to MASK the stupid dot inlays..would that be dificult..?

it would look pretty bad if you just refinished the grip and left the rest of the body the same.

so you would really have to repaint the whole guitar

Re: Moding rg7..help

The dots themselves shouldn't be too difficult to change. They will come right out by simply putting a screw into them, and pulling the screw. The ugly silver dots in the fretboard of my 7620 were pulled and replaced with little wooden dots, which look much nicer to me.
Binding the neck will be very tricky, and I would avoid it completely.
