he didnt have d'activators in his 6 string xiphos.
hes just an active pickup user.

i wonder if he will switch to the blackouts though...

Looks just like I predicted, except apparently black hardware, necrophagist inlay and locking tuners?

I reckon a production model will just be a 7 version of what's out already, but with direct mount pickups.

It's cool they've done the Xiphos in black for production now, I know most people hate black but it's alright as long as there are other colours.

About these SD blackouts, is everyone converting to them from the EMG 81/7s then? Dino now uses them, one of the Dimmu Borgir guys now uses them...

Almost every guitar store I have gone into that has them says that they sell like 10x more than EMGs, they are cheaper, and FAR better. I even saw them in a boutique guitar store in Kentucky!
