That would make it a low string thats been added, a standard guitar has 3 solid strings, that would need 4 to have a high A or whatever you tuned it to.

Depends on what gauge he uses. I've never seen it before. Looks nice. The Edge 8 is nice as well. Now, can he play it?

My mistake. Was thinking about acustical steel sets which usually have 2 plains only... :S

I agree, way too much stringage happening there. Although guys like Charlie Hunter make it sound badass. Or does he play a 9 string? I can never remember. Any more than 7 seems like just too much. I mean you guys have heard of bass players right?

I think they are trying to get enough strings on a guitar so they can play the bass parts too,thus rendering the bass player obsolete and increasing their individual cut of money earned
