MY 1527RB finally arrived! Pix inside.

Aghhhhhhhhh, I've waited for it so long.
But finally I got it. It's brilliant, I picked it up yesterday and already started recording on my PC last night.
I've never played 7string before but it seems so easy. The transition is efortless.
I'll mix this small piece I recorded and post it here soon.

Here are the links to A few pics I took of my new babe:

Looks great. Got a picture of the back? I much prefer those new, smaller inlays

Very nice. I love the smaller dots, versus the old, gigantic "Fretmarkers for Dummies". I saw a 1527 in Cosmic Blue this week as well, and i kinda liked it, though it really was purple, not blue. Royal Blue is definitely sharp... how sparkly is it?

I'll echo Jammy's request for photos of the back. I'd love to see some good shots of that new 5-piece neck!

It's just little sparky which is great.
The colour is such that u need plenty of light to see the blueness (there's probably no such word but u know what I mean)
No problem, I'll take some shots of the back as well, give me a minute.

Can anybody confirm that the RB color is different than the FB color on the K7 ? I may be interested in the 1527 , but it looks to be the same color , just a different name . I've already got a K7FB , and a 7620 with a custom natural mahogany body on the way , and I'm looking for a third 7 . And BTW , nice axe ! I do love the smaller dots. Congrats !!

You'll hate me for this, but I prefer the CB on my 1527 lol.

Goes better with green dimarzios.

I've seen the K7 in FB and I own an RG421 in RB, and they're definitely a little different. Not a lot, but a little.

Re: MY 1527RB finally arrived! Pix inside.

Am I right in assuming that you'd have to route any Ibanez 7-String if you wanted to fit EMG's to it? I've been thinking about getting a 7-String for a while and I really like the look of the '05 1527's. The colour looks much nicer in the pictures that 'Godisme' has posted than it does on the Ibanez site(as is often the case!).
What 7-string replacement pickups(standard shape) would be good for use in the 1527? I do like the sound of EMG's but I don't know if I'd really want to route a brand-new guitar to fit them. Is there any comparable sounding 7-String pickups that would fit straight in?

That's a really nice looking guitar by the way 'Godisme'. Congratulations man! I feel the same about the neck as the other guys here. I don't quite know why but those dark stripes really add something to it (as well as stability that is).
