My carvin dc747 finally arrives

Well, after a long wait it finally came. Dc747,blueburt, matching headstock. all mohagony body, maple neck through, ebony fretboard, with abolone dot inlays. This is my first seven, and i must say it took a little getting used to, but i'm loving every second of playing it. Here are some pics

Gorgeous. I love the color, the quilt top and the burst, it is perfect. I have been wanting a Carvin 7 for quite some time now and looking at yours makes me want one even more. I really like Tony MacAlpine's sig too. One of these days, I'll get one.

Nice guitar!

Nice Carvin. Their guitars look really classy, and I'm sure they play well, too!

That looks pretty amazing! I'm impressed! Carvin's prices are pretty good too...

What pups are in that monster? How does the single coil 7 sound? (Since all we dimarzio fanatics only have the Blaze Single)

Re: My carvin dc747 finally arrives

Well the pickups are ok, nothing to really write home about. There are 2 C26 humbuckers and 1 aP13 single coil. I am planning on swapping them out for a evo, and blaze II in the near future, i would like to find a nice crisp sounded single for the center but we'll see (any suggestions would be appreciated) the pickups just lack any sort of power, i'm used to the emg 81, 85 combo in my rg.

Hmmm... I guess I wouldn't mind buying the C26s off you when you off load them. I'm not a high ouput pups guy, rather let my pedals/amp do the work for me....

Re: My carvin dc747 finally arrives

Here are some more pics of the 7, my warmoth project, and some other guitar related stuff. I'm still decideding on pickups for the warmoth, any ideas????? Going for a nice jazzy/blues sound. Once I get the pickups i'm going to attempt to assemble it myself. I plan on getting the pickups for the 7 soon, when i order the pickups for my warmoth, so i'll probably toss those carvin pickups in the for sale section after that.
