The guitar is gorgeous, but the clear pick guard and missmatched white and black plastics are quite ugly.

What color will the hardware be?

That's a pretty nice-looking top. Is it a veneer or a top?

Hardware will be chrome eventually,And i'm hopefull to get white Blaze's in place of the black hums too ... The scratchplate isn't screwed or drilled yet,So i may indeed go for Direct mount pups,It still needs a ton of clear I just popped it together to show you guys ... Maybe i should P'shop a version ?

It's a veneer top,And the first "body" i have done,I have done a couple of headstocks, but this is the first guitar,And she's my baby too

Oh, you did the body yourself? Wow. It looks great. It will look better once you get the clear on there.

It's very nice indeed. I think that a black pickguard, or no pickguard at all, would look better than the clear one, though. Can't wait to see the finished product.

very sweet!

The body looks sweet, Rob!

I know everyone loves and appreciates my unsolicited advice, so here goes:

1. Lose the pickguard. Please.

2. I'm not normally a fan of gold hardware, but i think it'd look sweet with that top and cream or white pickups.

3. Both knobs should match the pickups. 1 black and 1 white is going to look like an accident.

There you have it. Aren't i helpful?

Cheers Darren ...
1.It's lost,it was my original idea, but looking at the pics of it,i don't like it at all

2.I could'nt afford gold hardware dude,it had crossed my mind tho

3.the knobs will match pups,i'm aiming for all white,if not i may get zebra hums but white switch and knobs almost deifnately

Thanks for the comments (honestly,no sarcasm)

Very nice Rob.
We are doing projects at the same time. Mine is a 6-string though.

I am still working on the body. It is gonna be an RG PolkaDot. It looks quite good so far. I have a Lo-Pro and scratchplate etc on the way tommorrow!

Could you host piccies for us Rob if I send em?
Theres only 1, but obviously in the "Other Ibanez" section.

I don't mind the scratchplate that much, but no scratchplate and cream knobs/pickups would ne nice...
