My Modified 1997 RG7620 Royal Blue

Won this on **** about 3 weeks ago. It arrived about 2 weeks ago and due to my family being in the middle of packing for our move the digi cam was hidden somewhere in a box.

So in the mean time I got the parts I needed to get to fix it up. It originally had a single in the middle but the owner has done a ****ty job routing it out with the dremel. Seeing as I didn't want a single I got an RG7620 Pickguard from Jeannie Pickguards. It is a three ply black-white-black pickguard and I love it.

Well to set it off I got my lovely white pickups - Blaze Neck and Evo7 from banjo_mikez off ****. Also got a 3 way Dimarzio switch and have the pups wired up ala JPM.

The fretboard is also a very nicely figured piece of rosewood. It also became dark over the two weeks since I put bore oil on it.

Here are the pics - enjoy.

Looking good! I remember seeing that guitar on the 'bay with the single coil... I've always wanted a UV-like RG7...
Now if you can somehow get some powder-coated white metal knobs... hmmm!

hah... our tastes ain't too far is it... lemme know when that's done!
funny you mention that... I know a place that does crazy powder coating and i've been meaning to get metallic green to replace the worn cosmo hardware on my Jem777VBK... but i decided to replace the parts instead.

Like I said on ss.org, that looks sharp. Black pickguards with white pickups is my favorite combo, especially with that Royal Blue, looks awesome. Although I like the way mine is, i'd totally do that to mine.
