No problem man.

I find it amazing! Never played on a 7 string before, but after 10 minutes playing, I was thinking that the guitar had 6 strings. It's really confortable!

Re: My new Ibanez RG2077XL Prestige (for Ibanez-Shredder)

Can anyone help me?
I want to change the tune from A to B and I tried as hard as I could to change it to B, but the tuning wont stuck on B, it is always changing. A friend of mine tried to tune it too but he couldn't. Is this a problem with the guitar or is it just normal?

Re: My new Ibanez RG2077XL Prestige (for Ibanez-Shredder)

No its just normal. Because of the locking trem, if you change the tuning of one string, the rest change tune, which then in turn changes the tuning again of the string you are trying to tune. So when tuning, don't just stick on one string, tune the A , then the E then ADGBE, and repeat the cycle until all the strings are intune. And since you a chaning tuning you will need to adjust trem angle. Do you need help on how to adjust the trem angle man? If thats unclear or anything just give me a yell.

I don't have any experience with floyd rose tuning. But the guy in the store (who couldn't tune it too) spoke to the importer and he told him to change the springs.
But yes, can you tell me how to adjust the trem angle?

Re: My new Ibanez RG2077XL Prestige (for Ibanez-Shredder)

No worries mate. I was going to write my explainations but i remembered the ones on ibanezrules which are probably clearer anyway. Id also suggest you replace the strings and springs as well.

Tuning Guide:
http://www.ibanezrules.com/tech/setup/tuning.htm

Trem Angle:
http://www.ibanezrules.com/tech/setup/angle.htm

And lots of other tuning and guitar care tutorials:
http://www.ibanezrules.com/tech/setup/index.htm

One thing about the trem angle, since your trem is an EDGE-Pro, the easiest way to tell if the trem angle is right, is by the baseplate. It should sit entirely parrallel with the body, dead simple. Hope this helps

Re: My new Ibanez RG2077XL Prestige (for Ibanez-Shredder)

RG2077XL has an Top mount locking nut and and EDGE-Pro Trem

RG1077XL has an Rear mount locking nut, and has an Lo-Pro trem

Both just as good
