My new toy: Epi Les Paul

Scored this on you-know-where last week:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm3Ld_vCOEo

It's a Les Paul, but it's MORE Les Paul

Re: My new toy: Epi Les Paul

To me, that body style just looks way better with 7 strings. It's the neck, usually they don't look as beefy as the body on a les paul, but this looks right. Nice playing BTW.

It's made by Albert Houwaart, aka Appie X.
You can download it here:

Re: My new toy: Epi Les Paul

I didn't even know Epiphone made a seven-string, is it a limited edition or something? It's pretty awesome.

Re: My new toy: Epi Les Paul

It says "Limited Edition" on the back of the headstock, as you can see.
I don't know how limited it is, but I believe they were only made in 2000, along with a 7-string Flying V.
So there's probably a few thousand around or so.

Re: My new toy: Epi Les Paul

Some dimwit put one of those on that evil auction site with a Buy It Now of $275! What the hell? I'm so ticked I missed it. There's another one on there, but it's way more.

Oh well. I just have to hope for another one some time.
