My RG/LACS Quilted Maple Hybrid 7

Jeremy is shooting the final clear on this puppy today. When he is done you guys have got to see his work on this monster, I'll ask him to post some pics....he is kicking some serious tail.

Here's the breakdown:
RG7 body
Insanely Quilted Maple Veneer
3 Tone burst: Sort of a PRS Tiger Eye, into a darker transparent brown, into black at the very edges.
All black hardware and Black Lo Pro Edge 7
LACS Dino Cazarez Neck, fully bound, Matching Veneer and Stain on headstock
Chrome Ibanez Logo, no stripe

This is meant to be a big shameless plug for Jeremy at LGM Guitars. The bang for the buck is off the charts. Excellent service, keeps me informed almost daily of what's going on, great prices...the list goes on.

BTW guys, to specify the color, all I did was sent Jeremy a link to a PRS guitar. He took a look and friggin nailed it.

We originally wanted to do the 3-D stain treatment on this, staining it black and then sanding it back so that the quilt popped out more. When Jeremy got my veneer, he knew it was too thin to do that so what you see is his work with just using tinted clear. Still, I think the results are wonderful.

The veneer came from flamingoveneer.com...wasn't too expensive and they gave me tons more than I requested. I veneered the headstock and botched it the first time so any left over quilt I had went to cutting a new headstock overlay...darnit. I initially was attempting to do all of this myself, but this stuff was soo thin and brittle I decided to let Jeremy worry over it...money well spent.

When this guitar was original, it sounded much better than my 2027 and my UV...I don't know why, but it just did, so those went out the door and this was the keeper. Can't wait to play it again....this time with the new neck!!!

I saw this while in progress and was drooling all day about it, VERY VERY nice. The quilt reminds me of the cinematography from "Backdraft"

Wicked figuring and color !

LGM - Please give "fair warning" before displaying pictures of this incredible nature again - just so I can don my depends undergarments, so as not to make such a mess.

Kepp up the great work!
