Need some help LTD EC 1000 Over Ibanez Rg1527


ok heres the thing!! i bought an LTD EC 1000 about a couple weeks ago janurary 31st now i OVERPAYED.......its a great guitar imo sounds good active emg pickups great neck love the action very nice on the eyes but i feel like im missing something! well i play ALOT of vai and some of that goes in the music i play in with my band but its also a metalcore band well! my friends over at guitar center said trade it out for a Ibanez rg 1527 which i've had my eye on if i trade in that and an old little amp of mine can someone help me in telling me im doing the right trade or am i loosing more than im gaining?!

I am a huge fan of ESP's, so I'd suggest you play a 1527 before you make the trade.

I like the 1527, I'm probably going to get one in the near future, but it's hard to beat an ESP.

yeah, I know, but they're both still good guitars

when all is said and done, my esp is still my go-to guitar for a lot of situations

Go play it and see if you like it or not. If you like it better than what you have, then go for it. If not, then don't bother.

the ESP you got is a great guitar, just a different beast

i would suggest one of the m or mh guitars by ESP

yeah i went with the EC....totally neglecting the fact that i play vai and me and friends started a metalcore band and i wanted to offer some vai style riffs
