I just received this Ibanez RG1527
Here are the specs

Body Material American Basswood
5pc maple neck with wenge
Rosewood Fretboard
25.5 Scale
24 frets
edge pro 7 trem
Pick ups Dimarzio x2n bridge, Seymour Duncan neck
1 Volume & Tone Knob


Plays brilliantly and its got killer tone

I'd love to do a proper review but the thing is I have no good amp

I have access to some crappy fender amps that are dying

But playing it through that I find the x2n quite a screamer

It roars and harmonically very responsive

Clean tones are a bit punchy but if you roll the volume down it can sound quite good

Other than that I find it a great alternative to acive pickups if you dont like using batteries

I dont think I'll be selling but I did buy it off a member in SS.org

SO- people spend days bitching that Ibanez makes too many black guitars and now we have a guy who can't find one... (sigh).
