Well it is a sabre body style, and it does put the neck pickup in that harmonic range. When your sitting next to vai you would probably do anything to sound better :P

They all do. Oddly enough, Carvins don't automatically come with a locking nut just because you order yours with a Floyd. They come with Sperzels locking tuners as standard equipment, so you have to specifically ask for the locking nut if you want one.

Very nice. I agree with your point on the locking nut. Back in the day it was a great idea. But with the technology available today in the form of better locking tuners and self-lubricating nuts, I don't see why more companies don't start dumping the locking nuts.
