Well it is a sabre body style, and it does put the
neck pickup
in that harmonic range. When your sitting next to vai you would probably do anything to sound better :P

They all do. Oddly enough, Carvins don't automatically come with a locking nut just because you order yours with a Floyd. They come with Sperzels
locking tuners
as standard equipment, so you have to specifically ask for the locking nut if you want one.

Very nice indeed; I do like the maple board, locking tuners, off-centre inlays.
So we'll be seeing you in South Africa on which dates exactly? (You could regard this as a fairly large hint if you like!)

Very nice. I agree with your point on the locking nut. Back in the day it was a great idea. But with the technology available today in the form of better locking tuners and self-lubricating nuts, I don't see why more companies don't start dumping the
locking nuts
.
