Petie's seven-string chord discoveries

Well I've had my sevener since Saturday and here's what I've come up with so far... they're both barre chords so, y'know, move 'em wherever.

Yeah, more chord-tips for 7s!

I'm still trying to remember scales for the 7th string

I figure I can get by by playing the same old scales I play on the six-string, and add the same fretting as the high B-string when I get to the low one.

Here's a few I like.

Code:

Emaj7- basically a variation w/o. the 3rd in the bass register: a little better
definition when distorted, and easier to move around with for walking bass stuff.

The Daddy of all B5 chords... MASSIVE with some gain. Smaller hands,
beware: i've been working at it for a while, and can with a bit of work get
it to ring cleanly down to the 7th fret, but not fast enough to be useful... higher register only.

F#, thumb covering root. Gives us 7-stringers a shot at some Hendrixy moves.

    T

D Can be transposed up the neck if you mute the open strings...

There's tons more... i ought to sit down and work out some 7ths and everything for the 7-string neck, because there's a lot you can do with the extra room...

PS- let's see some more!
