Petrucci's B/W 7 string on Evil Bay

Just do a search for JPM 7 at the site and prepare to pay US $9,500.00 or more.

Saw that. Schweet axe but lets see... new $10K guitar or Christmas for my kids for like the next 20 years... Hummmm....

It's too bad Ibanez doesn't have a custom shop for us ordinary plunkers...

I just thought it was ridiculous, i mean, u can take a 7620 and put B/W pickups, plus a paintjob and u got the same thing, or even better do that with a 2027

i guess from a collector's point of view it might be worht it, but i couldn't imagine paying that for a used guitar.

It's funny you mention that - someone actually did take a 2027 and give it the JP Picasso paint job - it was also for sale on eBay a while ago (about a year or so). At the time, I thought, why would anyone take a beautiful mahogany VV finish and put the Picasso theme on it.

Dreaming of big money

It's silly, but I've seen worse. To some people that's not even a drop in the bucket. This is a good chance to observe the concept of supply and demand in action.

Yeah...that'll do it. That's where I would say the money is on it.

Add to it as being a point of contention between JP and Ibanez and him eventually jumping ship....

...now there's the money.

It's about the same amount as for which MP tries to sell Drumkits...

Not surprising...

He's going about it all wrong.

First-bad time of year for very big ticket items; who has 10 grand to blow on someone and hasn't already had it planned out by now? Seriously...

Secondly...not enough notiriety on eBay; it's just another guitar. It needs a higher profile to fetch that sort of cash.
