I would go with a modded Universe pickguard, since the 7620 obviously doesn't have a pickguard to begin with. You may want to go without the screw holes as well, and tape it down. No point in putting holes in the guitar if not necessary.

Good point about taping it..but, the UV has a single coil in the middle..

the 7620 IS a modded UV pickguard. Same one without the middle coil hole. Same to the T. As long as its a AANJ UV we're talkin about.
And please dont tape it. Put screws in it. Tape looks ghetto rigged. If your gunna do it, do it right.

i remember seeing a pic of someones RG 7 string on here where they had a pickguard made up for them which was a UV one and they asked for the middle pickup hole to be not cut from it and they had it done free of charge so its no hardship just having that done! no need to resort to tape when a simple email will suffice!

it will fit perfectly. the guys that do the rg7620 pickguard use the uv AANJ guard as the template.
I've had them made for myself on several occasions.
