Hi guys,

It's not perfect, but not bad for one of my first goes at swirling . It's a RG7420 with a 7620 neck and diMarzio's. It's got a TRS but with a push-in trem arm, which actually works really well (can't tell much difference between that and my edge-tremmed Ibanez's, as long as you don't pick the guitar up on the trem arm too much - ).

I also have pics in the universe forum of my purple Uni, which you may have seen, and a swirled RG 6 string body in the 'other Ibanez' forum.

that looks pretty good, i'd say. I'm not usually a fan of swirls personally (aside from the Green/black ones) but i like that one.

I've tried a couple of times and failed miserably, the problem in my case was that I could get small test peices to look ok, but when doing on something as big as a guitar body the thickness of water and amount of oil paint to use seemed hard to get right. I also had problems with the paint running as I removed the body so the half decent swirl I had was ruined within in seconds.

I'd be interested in any tips on doing a beter job... paints to use and methods of stopping the running would be great...
