Possible problem w/ new 7421XL

Well, you know, I've just been too damn lucky... guess i was due for some problems.

Brand new RG7421XL showed up just moments ago... giving it my usual once-over noticed a tiny, hairline crack in the neck joint. Now, this is TINY... teeny-tiny and might possibly just be a finish crack, which is no biggy. When i say "hairline", i mean "hairline". I can't really tell if it actually goes all the way into the neck pocket or not. It's not deep by ANY stretch, and like i say, is probly just a finish crack. But, it being where it is, i'm just paranoid. Crap, i really don't want to have the hassle of sending this bugger back.

I'll try to get a few pics up later. Maybe one of your experienced eyes can see that's it's a finish crack.

Aww..dude, i feel your dissapointment, and you were so excited too. It really is a bummer when you get a new guitar, and its not quite perfect.

Thanks, man... I appreciate it. If it were anywhere else, i'd think totally nothing about it. It's so minute that it's barely noticable. Aw well... I'll dig up the digi cam and see about putting a couple pics up.

Nope, nope... this POS has to go back. Just found 2 more problems with it. The 5-way is very intermittent, sometimes doesn't make contact at all. Also has a huge gouge out of the point on the headstock. I think this is a 2nd all the way around. Bye bye. Hope they have more in stock.

aww man that sux! I hate when that happens...like they think ur too stupid to notice...hope for ur sake they have more brand new ones in stock...

That's awful man. My friend just got his new one last week and it's totally awesome, i love it.

Hope they get you a brand new one. Over here the dealer gets ALOT of seconds too, so i have an idea of how bummer that really is.

He has an Rg1077XL with a circular depression, he bought over not one but two damaged chromeboys for the same person (one was supposed to be a replacement) and a new Jem7BSB had the pickup selector switch cap missing. Just bummer.

Yeah... it's still suckin', too. Loooooong story but i still don't have one. It is however, "on the way". I've resigned myself to waiting, which sux, but better than sitting around in a pissy mood

Won't be long now... and then you'll all have to endure my long, gushing review of how fab it is
