it's nice to get a good one.... but if you import a 21A (or any ibz) at top $$$ you will likely be disappointed if your expectations are that high ...glen

It may not have the C shaped finishing that one had but I doubt they'd be disapointed

i think if someone imports an ibz axe expecting it to be best playing and feeling axe as you said... the buyer will probably be disappointed and let down... especially before doing a complete setup ...g

Why, we're talking email anyway, but absolutely nothing about J Customs, that we're talking here

If somebody ordered an RG21 believing they were going to get an incredible guitar then I doubt they'd be disapointed. If anybody thinks it's going to be the best playing out of the box then they better be buying from that swirly banner guy

If you buy a J-C, Prestige, Signature, etc you buy the POTENTIAL to have a stellar axe. You aren't GUARANTEED anything more than POTENTIAL however, especially if you direct order from Japan or from dealers that don't offer service/setup such as Rich ...glen

Hey, I wasn't until a minute ago.

sun/moon- when I buy one, since I'll proably be in Adams, MA at the time- hr. drive tops- i'll head out there and let you bust out some licks and judge.

And anyway, this may shock you, but ESPECIALLY for 7's i prefer basswood to mahogany- mahogany's more of a lower-mid wood, and it just can't replicate the low B string with enough clarity to be useable. Basswoods's pretty good, but I'm holding for alder.

I'll just say, from experience, my RG1527 is steps above my RG7620s. I will say it is 'Prestiege' quality. No doubt about it.
For the price, who really cares?!

I've been playing for about 15 years so I would like to think I know what is good and what's not.
I've worked for Gibson so I at least know whats not good.
