PRS 7 string guitars???
Hi guys,
Me wants to add PRS 7 string to my lineup. Did some search on-line and still have no idea about few things -
1. They exist right?
2. Have PRS ever had them in mass production lineup? Custom shop will make all you want, that much i understand.
3. Looks like there is no availability in capacity right now...
4. Any one here owns one? Mind to share some pics & thoughts?
Thnx in advance

Custom shop only - I think. I've seen only custom shop PRS7 and replicas.

Re: PRS 7 string guitars???
I've only seen a few online ever, they run new at about $11thousand US or so and are definitely non-production, custom shop only.

Re: PRS 7 string guitars???
Don't know about PRS custom shops, but i have an Abyss (now Pederson) custom. Similar body style, but sharper design. Plays nicer than any other guitar i've played, so i can't complain. Had a cost sheet for a rebuild based on today's material cost, $7500. So that's a little perspective on about what you are looking at.
here's a pic pulled from the "show me your 7 strings" thread.

Why not hop on board with Tom Anderson? It looks there's going to be se7ens coming up from their block (if he gets at least 10 pre-orders)?
Oh, an PRS se7ens - they do exist...

I think that switch would really bother me, but that's a stunning instrument, no question

Re: PRS 7 string guitars???
it's not bad. I was wondering about that too when i had it build, but it actually makes it much easier to switch pickups when soloing. The question was whether or not you'd hit it when you were playing. Unless you are freaking slamming your fist into the guitar, you'll never accidently hit it. it's a great guitar. although i'm playing more acoustic now than electric. Go figure. It's got piezos in the bridge though so i can use it for acoustic with an acoustic amp. Sounds pretty good for that too.
