Really cheap Washburn 7 string....

I hope this isn't old news but I thought I might let everyone know that theres a Washburn 7 string over at ********.com for under $200 with free shipping, and it actually got really high reviews both on the 123 website and musicians friend. Seems like a good deal for anyone looking to break into 7 string land without breaking the bank...

lol, didnt realize that music 123 gets bleeped out...

If it's the WG587. Then yeah they are ok guitars for the money. But the Ibanez RG7321 plays alot better. I used to have a WG587 and after a while it annoyed me how small the frets wear and how bad quality the trem was.

Re: Really cheap Washburn 7 string....

As a matter of fact they just came out with a newer seven, the X17. Same price ($199) but different specs, basswood instead of alder, offset dots, different headstock, 3 way switch, satin finish neck.

imo the wg587 is better, its got that raw maple neck and a 5 way, better body styling too, plus alder is my tonewood of choice, just wish it had those offset dots!!!

im eventually gonna pick it up as my first 7, but man, those dots...lol

I think I'm going to have to order one of these WG857s on Music 123. Hopefully I can talk the missus into letting me get one if there's nothing in the same price range available at the stores in my town.

Seems to be decent timbers used in the thing, i'd replace the pickups and other hardware anyway.
