RG 1077XL neck

Hi folks

I would like to replace my 1077 neck to 25"inch standard neck. Does anyone know where can i order a custom neck or anyone interest to trade the neck with me?

I don't think that will work.

Aren't the bridges on those set back further to accomodate the longer scale length?

You can't, the trem has been moved toward the tail to keep the overall length down so a 25 1/2" neck will not work.

You could probably get a neck custom made, but you'd probably only be able to get 21 or 22 frets on there and keep the neck humbucker where it is.

But a standard 25.5" scale neck will not fit.

If you really find the 27" scale unmanageable, you're probably better off selling the 1077 and getting a standard-scale 7-string.
