Re: RG 7CST

Very nice guitars, but they aren't available anymore. Only about two doxen were ever made, if that. Closest thing still available used is the RG2027, which would have a locking trem and piezos. THose are also discontinued, but more readily available. Same guitar basically, just without the maple cap on the body. New, the EBMM Petrucci 7 is the only 7 string available with a piezo bridge (a non-locking trem). There are very few options for piezo 7's.

Re: RG 7CST

Where did you hear it wasn't very good?
That is completely false.
I have the RG2027, and know 2 people that have the Jcustom CST models, the build qulaity is excellent, action is killer, and tone is superb, both Piezo and Magnetic. The pièce de résistance is the ability (after wiring in the KJG mod) is the ability to blend piezo and magnetic at will. This gives you a broad range of tonal control.

GREAT guitars, but hard to come by.

If you find one, I would grab it!

You've hear it for sure from someone that didn't have chance to play on one of those guitars or he made some mistake with the model number and was talking about other guitar then 7CST

I know 3 people that had or have 7CST. And they are talking only about advantages of it.I owe one also so I know what I'm talking about. This is the best 7string guitar that Ibanez ever made!!!

worth every cent I've paid

here are some pix of mine 7CST:

cheers

Re: RG 7CST

thanks guys

the 7CST is also the only production model of Ibanez with ebony fretboard (minus AF207 that also have ebony). and I just love blank, black ebony boards

the model on the right side is a L.A. Custom Shop model. Prototype made for Munky from Korn. You can also see this guitar in the custom guitar gallery on jemsite. As previous owner put there some pix of it.

eelblack2: OK I will send You my black LACS for any othe Dino LACS if You will find one for sale

chi: if You have money buy 7cst , You will be damn happy with it.

Actually that's not true a bunch of different J-Custom models had ebony boards. My RG8670 I had had an ebony board.

Ibanez has had many, many guitars with ebony boards. The Jem 7VWH springs to mind right off the bat The RG7CST was also an extremely limited run of at most 24 instruments, so it was a production guitar in only the loosest sense.
