Hi I'm a new member.
I have a rg1527 ( body american basswood)and i want replace the pick up (v8 e v7 -7)
What do you think about emg 707 ( in a american basswood) ?
I'm a great fan of evergrey,symphony x ,pantera.
I play with 5150 II amps and artigianal cabinet with v30 and greenback

You DO know you'll have to route the guitar for it, right? Unless you're a diehard fan of EMG's, I'd suggest getting some passives instead.

Hi.I know to have route but it isn't a problem.
I search a noiseless pick up with high output.
I'd like also messhugah sound but lundgred pick up cost too much.
Thanks and excuse me for my bad english :-)

If you figure it's worth the price, go ahead and do it!

High output with low noise, I don't think there's much else to choose but EMG707.

Hi
My "problem" is the body, american basswood.I don't know if the 707 play good o blaze custom
I read some beautiful opinion about blaze custom .
The blaze is passive but i don't know if it is noiseless and powerful while the emg707
Thank

Re: rg1527and emg 707

Traduction:

In a few words, I'm just suggesting him to go Evo7 or wait for the X2n-7.

Yes they do take the wood type out of the mix.

Re: rg1527and emg 707

i feel putting EMGs in such nice axes defeats the whole purpose of tone. Put NICE passives..but NOT EVO. They are kinda harsh sounding in the basswood.

I use TZ7 and it has VERY nice and TIGHT sound and it is pretty easy to dial in the tones with these babies in the axe.

Hey, I say that if you want that kind of tone and you can afford to have your guitar routed to fit the pickups then go for it.
