RG2027/2127x question

I'm seriously considering buying a new RG2127 or a used 2027. I have to admit that the Vintage Violin finish looks alot better than the Deep Black finish.

I really wanted this guitar because of the piezo pickups, but I can't seem to find any soundclips of it. Can someone please post or send me some?

Also, are there any other 7 stringers that might be better than the this one, cause, the way I see it, no 7 string guitar other than the ESP Stephen Carpenter 7 can outmatch this one.

There are several threads on this forum containing soundclips of 2027's. Poke around and you should find them.

Only other guitar which even comes close to the 2027's versatility is the EBMM Petrucci 7.

No doubt, rlintz. The ESP isn't in the same ballpark, Viper. The Petrucci 7-string IS, however, with cool options, custom pickups, and a very neat trem with a piezo option. I've heard 'em, too, and it sounds great. Also some very cool finish options. A used 2027 will probably cost you half as much tho (good luck finding a new one, or a 2127. Haven't seen any on Ishibashi in awhile,) and work just as well, without the buildup wait. You can find the Petrucci's around used if you look.
