i heard it was thicker and rounder than the regular wizard7 necks like on a 7620 for example... is that right?

Yes that is correct. Still very playable though.

I'd say its a little thicker than a new uv.

oh my god!! i'll never be able to play that! i already felt the UV was giant and flat baseball bat... oh my god!
i really wonder how huge your hands are dudes... how do you manage playing those things?

i got my 2027 the other day,
and i thought the neck is slim!

...haven't played too many 7 strings, though...

The 2027 neck is NOT thicker than the new UV necks. I have them both, or used to, they were backups to each other when I couldn't decide which one I liked more.

THe neck profiles are different. The UV neck has steeper sides and a flatter back giving it more of a beefy feel, more D shaped if you will. The RG neck is more wizard like, it has a softer shallower feel. The actual thicknes from fretboard to back of neck may be the same as the UV for all I know, but the profile is such that it feels much thinner.

In my book, they both are fabulous, but I prefer a little more meat so I loved the UV neck.

just played a 7620 and a k7 again!
the k7 neck is really godlike! i hope i'll have as good sensations on a 2027!
its good thats its not as flat, as boxy!
