RG2127x production also cancelled?

Heya, i ordered a RG2127x about 4 months ago and it friggin' rules!! But that put aside, i orderd it through Ishibashi music online, but they don't stock it anymore. Does this mean that the 2127x is going the same way the 2027x went? Do any of you know about this?

It's most likely because of the whole change in everything coming this year.

I sent an email to ishibashi and they said that it was discontinued. its a real shame to see one of the best guitars gone.

Whats the difference between the 2127 and the 2027 anyway?

The finish. The 2027 has the VV finish, and the 2127 has the flat tran. black finish (I like it better, but that's just me ).

Thats it? just the color? that seems kind of unnecesary to put a different model number just for a color

The 21 series has the ability to run both mag and piezo at the same time, as well as an added EQ.

Wrong. That's the 2120, not the 2127. It didn't get the upgrade.

Is using the magnetic and the piezo's together as awesome
as i've gotten the impression of?

Should I apply KJG wiring to my 2027?

mine is exactly the same as the 2027x except for the finish, even the wiring, cause the piezo-switch is 2-way, maybe i'll put a 3-way in if that's even possible???

And what is KJG wiring exactly?

KJG (Kevan J. Geier, author of KJG Mod and rather sporty fellow about town) Mod is BASICALLY 3-way switching between magnetic/piezo-magnetic/piezo, either 1, both, or 2, instead of crappy STOCK 2-way switching. Plus some wiring schematics for rewiring with Dimarzio's. Cool stuff.
