RG7 Pickup config

Okay, does anyone have a spec sheet or diagram on how the RG7 pickups are configured. Theres two humbuckers and this is how I thought it was wired for the 5-way switch:

1: Bridge pickup, full
2: Bridge pickup & neck pickup, coiltapped using middle two coils
3: Bridge pickup & neck pickup, full
4: Neck pickup, one coil
5: Neck pickup, full


Am I right, or am I wrong? Thanks for the help

You're right about all the positions except number 4. On the Ibanez site it says paralel connected. I dunno what that means though.

Depends on the model. On the RG7620, position 4 is the neck pickup in parallel. On the RG7420 it is the neck pickup but tapped so it's not putting out its full output.

I think there might be diagrams on jemsite, but I KNOW there's diagrams on the official Ibanez site...

4 - neck pickup coils in parellel.
Parallel is as opposed to series connected, where the coils are connected end-to-end, with the signal going from one to the other.
In parallel, the signal is coming from both coils simultaneously (as though they were both separate pickups [which they are...]) which gives you a lower output, with more high-end content as compared to series connected. It's closer to a single-coil sound, but is still hum-cancelling.

There are wiring diagrams available, if required.
