Rg7321

I tried one of these at guitar center yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the it being that it was made in Indonesia. Idk if that was just a fluke or what. Should I buy one of these and maybe upgrade the pups, saddles, and the nut? Also, should I expect it to play as good as say, an rg470 without any buzz?

They are really good for being Indonesian, you get alot of guitar for the money !
I own an RG321mh, and it play's awesome........Great sustain, comfortable and sounds pretty good, same thing with the RG7321 !
I will probably get one of those 7's as soon as I can

I tried a 7321 a while back in my local guitar store. I was also surprised at the quality of the guitar. It seemed to be made to a fairly high standard, played nice and sounded good too. Would look better with a MC swirl though...

That's a nicely modded 7321!

Did you paint that binding on or what?
It looks very cool.

Do the scallops make much of a difference up the top of the board there?

Re: Rg7321

I was about to ask a few questions about the RG7321, but to avoid posting a new thread on it...

I'm gonna trade one of my guitars for one soon, and aim to buy some new pickups if the stock ones are as bad as people say. Does anyone know which are the best Dimarzio and Seymour Duncan pickups for 7s (need ones that handle both high gain/distorted and clean tones nicely), and which UK online stores do 7 string pickups apart from e bay? Wouldn't mind getting some white or green ones to snazz up the appearance

Also I keep hearing about the quality of each copy of the model varying a lot. What problems do I need to look out for?

Re: Rg7321

A lot of people are saying that the best 7321's to get are the older 'Made In Korea' ones as opposed to the new Indonesian ones.
The build quality of the newer ones is very inconsistent apparently.

I see. Problem is I may have little choice cos of availabilty, and some shops pick out one from the warehouse as opposed to letting you have the demo model so you don't know if the quality's gonna match up, especially in the case of this indonesian run, if you're correct about the inconsistency.

I hear that too, but I have yet to encounter a poorly made RG7321.
